This interactive Excel tool lets you view and compare local-level housing information. It aims to answer questions such as:
There are three pages in the document covering current housing stock, house building and affordable housing supply. On each page, select the regions you're interested in followed by the individual local authorities you want to compare. The document will display statistics for the parameters you've selected.
This section shows the number of residential properties in a local authority, broken down by tenure type.
This section shows the number of homes completed in each financial year since 2010-11. You can compare completions by type of developer (private enterprise, local authorities or housing associations).
This section lets you compare the number of new affordable homes provided in each financial year since 1991-92. You can compare provision of properties for social rent, affordable rent, and intermediate housing (which includes low-cost homes for sale as well as intermediate rent).
