General debate on Sport in the UK will take place on Monday 4 February 2019.

HM Government, Sporting future: a new strategy for an active nation (December 2015).

Sport England  is responsible for encouraging sporting activity in England. Its strategy was updated in May 2016 to take account of the Government’s “Sporting future”. Detailed information on Sport England’s work and funding is available online. This includes the Active Lives Surveys.

Sport Scotland – the national agency for sport

Sport Wales – responsible for sports participation in Wales

Sport Northern Ireland – responsible for the development of sport in Northern Ireland

UK Sport  -  responsible for elite sport.
