UK inflation, as measured by the CPI, was 1.9% in the year to March 2019, unchanged from February. UK inflation was 2.5% in March 2018.

EU inflation was 1.6% in March 2019, unchanged from February. EU inflation was 1.6% in March 2018.

Annual inflation in the Eurozone was 1.4% in March, compared with 1.5% in February.

In Germany inflation was 1.4% in March, down from 1.7% in February; in France it was 1.3% in March, down from 1.6% in February.

Romania had the highest inflation rate in the EU in March (4.2%). The lowest inflation rate in the EU was in Portugal (0.8%).
